Brian” Bant” Butler was a lover of all music since a very young age, most influential being Michael Jackson. Influenced by his family mostly at gatherings and holidays, where family would gather together eating, drinking, talking mess, which was capped off with a few notes from uncles boasting who can sing the best. The constant play of 50s, 60s,70s, and all other genres of music, by parents also helped to shape Bant’s love of good music which, he continues to listen to today. Bant’s first performance was in Piscataway High School’s auditorium where he sung “We Can’t Be Friends”, by Debra Cox and R.L., with good friend Sherrell Honore, who would also be the person to suggest writing songs. The advice was taken, and a little more then 2 years later Bant has wrote over 20 songs with more to come. Another inspiration and performance was singing “Made Up My Mind”, by Lyfe at his brother, Kerron “Holy K” Butler’s funeral, who was killed on 1-1-05. This would be the inspiration for his first song ever written titled “1-1-05”. Bant continues to write songs and sing in hopes to one day become an established writer, writing music as a profession.
