Alfre Woodard will star alongside Mike Colter in Marvel's "Luke Cage" as Minetta, who will be a lead character in the series. The Emmy Award winning Woodard will be a powerful woman in local politics who will have an impact on Luke Cage’s life. 
Rumors are that Woodard's character will be Black Mariah. A frequent antagonist for both Cage and Iron Fist in the comics, Black Mariah is described as both a professional criminal and a drug dealer.
Luke Cage premieres on Netflix in 2016.
